How to Reach Andaman

The Andaman group of Islands are well connected by Air and Sea.

By Flight

The quickest way to reach Andaman is by boarding a flight from mainland India. Direct flights operate from Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Vizag to Port Blair the Capital of Andaman. Connecting flights are available from all other destinations around the country. No international ship or flight services exist in Andaman as of now.

By Sea

Passenger Ship (but not suggested) services are available to Port Blair from Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam and back. There are three to four sailings every month from Kolkata and Chennai to Port Blair and vice-versa. There is one sailing for Visakhapatnam in a month.

Kolkata - Port Blair: Journey time about 66 hrs (1,255 kms)
Vishakapatnam – Port Blair : Journey time about 56 hrs (1,200 kms)
Chennai – Port Blair: Journey time about 60 hrs (1,190 kms)
